Egypt Congratulates Iraq for Successful Parliamentary Elections

On Tuesday, Egypt congratulated the Iraqi government and people, on the success of the Iraqi parliamentary elections, hailing the tireless efforts made by the Iraqi state and its constitutional institutions to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process, which allowed the brotherly Iraqi people to express their free will to choose his representatives in the Parliament, according to Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement, the spokesman said that the elections are considered a new achievement towards reconstruction and realizing the aspirations of the Iraqi people, according to a ministry statement.

He also voiced Egypt's solidarity with Iraq and support to the Iraqi government in maintaining stability and protecting the country's interests and sovereignty.
