Egypt has strongly denounced Israel's decision to expand settlement activities in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, describing it as a flagrant violation of Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In an official statement, Egypt expressed its unequivocal rejection of the Israeli government's plans, labeling them as a clear breach of international law. The move, Cairo stated, underscores Israel’s persistent policy of imposing unilateral changes on the ground and further reflects its lack of commitment to achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region.

Egypt emphasized that these settlement activities not only contravene international law but also perpetuate Israel's ongoing seizure of Arab lands and efforts to alter the demographic composition of the occupied territories. The actions constitute a blatant violation of international agreements, including the Geneva Conventions, which regard Israel as the occupying power in the Golan Heights.

Egypt urged the international community, including the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill their responsibilities in rejecting such violations of Syrian sovereignty. Cairo stressed the need for decisive steps to halt Israel’s expansionist policies and bring an end to its settlement activities in the occupied territories.
