On Monday, Egypt voiced deep concern and condemnation of the recent incursion by extremists into Jerusalem's revered Al-Aqsa Mosque, facilitated under the aegis of Israeli police.

In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry implored Israeli authorities to cease such provocative actions, which not only spark the ire of millions of Muslims worldwide but also exacerbate tensions in the beleaguered Palestinian territories.

Egypt's statement underscored frequent infringements on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and endeavors to geographically and temporally divide it contravene established international legal norms and global resolutions. The country emphasized that these violations will not diminish Al-Aqsa's entrenched historical and juridical status as an unblemished Islamic landmark.

Cairo further cautioned that such antagonistic actions jeopardize the foundational pillars of peace negotiations. These actions potentially derail regional and global initiatives keen on resuscitating the peace dialogue anchored on the pivotal two-state proposition.

In a bid to bolster regional stability, Egypt has reiterated its plea to influential global entities, encompassing the United Nations and its auxiliary bodies, to ardently uphold and safeguard the Palestinian populace's rights. Concluding its statement, Egypt reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to advocating for the irrefutable rights of Palestinians, championing endeavors that strategize towards a holistic resolution for the Palestinian conundrum, thereby facilitating the inception of an autonomous Palestinian nation defined by its 1967 boundaries, with East Jerusalem at its heart.
