On Saturday, Egypt strongly condemned drone attacks at King Abdullah airport in the southern Saudi city of Jizan that left ten people injured.

"Egypt said a series of attacks, by the Houthi militia, have targeted innocent civilians," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, asserting that these attacks are a clear violation of the rules of International Humanitarian Law (IHL).

The repeated attacks are considered to be a threat to the lives of travelers and the security and safety of civil aviation as well as freedoms of the air, according to the statement.

In the same vein, Egypt stressed full solidarity with the Kingdom in whatever measures it is taking to confront these despicable terrorist attacks, highlighting the close relationship between the two countries.

Saudi state media said the victims were six Saudis, three Bangladeshi nationals, and one Sudanese. A coalition spokesman stated that some of the airport’s facade windows were shattered in the first attack.

A second explosives-laden drone was intercepted early on Saturday, the coalition said, without giving further details on any injuries or damages.
