"Rui Vitoria announced Egypt’s squad to join the team’s camp from 7 to 18 November within preparations for the friendly game against Belgium," a statement read by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) on Thursday.
The Portuguese tactician has only included local-based players and will announce his final squad on 13 November.
The Pharaohs are scheduled to face Belgium in a friendly game on 18 November in Kuwait at 16:00 Cairo Local time (GMT+2), two days before the start of the 2022 World Cup.
The Belgian Red Devils have drawn in Group F of the 2022 World Cup alongside Morocco, Canada and Croatia.
Under the helm of new coach Rui Vitoria, 52, Egypt started their first training camp in September as they defeated Liberia and Niger 3-0 in friendly games.
The Portuguese tactician called five news faces to his squad including Ahly defender Mahmoud Metwally, Zamalek’s defenders Hossam Abdel-Majid and Amr El-Sisi, and Haras El Hodoud forward Mostafa ‘Ziko’ Abdel-Raouf.
Pyramids FC and Future FC players has been dropped for the current squad due to their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup round of 32.
