On Friday, Egypt national handball team claimed an opening 31-22 win against Croatia in the 2023 Handball World Cup tournament.
The game saw an impressive performance by the Egyptian team, especially Ali Zein, who was named the man of the match, Ahmed Hesham, Mohamed Sanad, Mohab Saied, and the strong Karim Hendawy, the goalkeeper of the national team.
Egypt opened the score a few seconds after the match began by Zein.
The win is Egypt's first over Croatia in their previous five World Championship fixtures.
Now, the national team is first in the group, followed by the US who claimed a breathtaking 28-27 victory over Morocco.
The upcoming game for Egypt will be against Morocco before concluding their group-stage participation against US on Tuesday.
