Egypt Braces for Rainy, Unstable Weather on Friday

Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that the country will witness unstable weather, accompanied by rain and wind activity, during Friday's daylight hours.

Warm weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country during the daylight hours. Hot weather is also expected to hit South Upper Egypt.

Dusty winds occasionally occur in most parts of the country, limiting horizontal visibility.

Light rainfall is predicted to fall intermittently in Cairo, South Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, North and middle Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea governorate.

Light to moderate rain is also forecast to hit intermittently in the North Coast, the North Lower Egypt, North and central Sinai.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in El Salloum, Marsa Matruh, and Siwa, at intermittent period.

Meteorologists also predict that the country will continue to experience a temperature rise.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height, with northeast surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.

There is a 30% chance of light to moderate rainfall prevailing intermittently in Cairo, South Lower Egypt, Canal Cities, North and middle Upper Egypt, and the Red Sea governorate.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 25°C in Cairo, 22°C in Alexandria, 18°C in Marsa Matruh, 30°C in Sohag, 31°C in Qena, and 34°C in Aswan.
