The Egyptian Football Association, officially, announced receiving a letter from the CAF regarding the latest confirmed time and date for Egypt's game against Botswana in 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
The game will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7 pm (Cairo time).
Earlier, Egypt rejected the request of Botswana to postpone their upcoming encounter as part of the second round of 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
The game is scheduled for 4:00 pm on Tuesday in Botswana.
The request of the Botswanian team came after a late arrival of the Botswana's delegation from Mauritania for urgent reasons, as a result of a problem with the official sponsor of the team’s flight.
Botswana's team was scheduled to arrive, Monday's midnight, but due to the crisis, their arrival was delayed.
The Botswana team wanted the time of the game to be pushed to 9 pm (Cairo time), instead of 4 pm (Cairo time) which was rejected by the Egyptian team.
