Egypt Beat Malawi 2-0 in African Cup of Nations Qualifiers (VIDEO)

The first Egyptian national football team achieved a valuable victory over its guest Malawi with 2 goals to null, in the match that brought them together this evening, at the Air Defense Stadium, in the third round of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire 2024.

Egypt advanced with the first goal in the 20' through Mohamed Salah, who turned a cross from Mohamed Hamdy into the net of Malawi.

Omar Marmoush fired a shot from outside in the 45 + 1 minute, to hit the Malawi defense and then settle into the net, announcing the second goal.

With that result, the Egyptian national team topped the group with 6 points, pending the result of the confrontation between Guinea and Ethiopia, which will play later today, while Malawi's balance is frozen at 3 points in last place.

The Egyptian national team is in Group D with the teams of Ethiopia, Malawi and Guinea, where the "Pharaohs" team started its qualifiers by defeating Guinea in Cairo with a score (1-0), before losing from Ethiopia with a score (2-0).
