The General Authority for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) issued a press release on Sunday, revealing data on trade between Egypt and Australia for 2024, which reached $494 million compared to $558 million in 2023.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Sam Mostyn, on Sunday. The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the two countries and is part of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Australia in various economic and social fields.

These figures reflect the dynamism of trade between the two countries, despite the slight decline in the value of trade between 2023 and 2024.

The value of Egyptian exports to Australia reached approximately $50 million in 2024, compared to $45 million in 2023, indicating a slight growth in Egyptian exports to the Australian market.

On the other hand, the value of Egyptian imports from Australia reached approximately $444 million in 2024, compared to $513 million in 2023, indicating a decline in Egyptian imports from Australia during the same period.

These statistics are an important indicator of the growing economic relationship between Egypt and Australia and will contribute to strengthening trade ties and trade exchange between the two countries in the coming years.
