Egypt will assume the one-month presidency of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union (AU) during November.
This came in light of the Egyptian diplomatic successes, and its efforts to play an effective role in supporting and strengthening the peace and security architecture in the African continent.
"Egypt's efforts will focus on disaster management in Africa, as well as finding lasting solutions to confront challenges such as the phenomenon of terrorism, illegal immigration, and the repercussions of climate change on continental peace and security," the council tweeted.
