Egypt has asked Sudan to extradite the wanted Egyptian Nationals who were captured among the IS-affiliated Terrorist cell dismantled by the Sudanese Intelligence.

On its part, Sudan reportedly agreed to hand them over to Egypt after the end of ongoing investigations.

The arrested elements were involved in terrorist operations in Egypt and belonged to the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood group, according to security sources.

The names of the Egyptians, who were captured in Khartoum, are; Akram Abdel Badee Mahmoud, Mohamed Ahmed Ali, Aya Hassan Abdel Salam, and Asmaa Abdelbasset Mohamed.

Abdel Salam is an Egyptian woman, her family and the so-called Human Rights activists allegedly claimed that she was forcibly disappeared and arrested by the Egyptian security forces in April 2019.

Moreover, Abdel Badee is an Egyptian fugitive who was responsible for the formation of a terrorist cell in the city of El-Mansoura in 2009/10, planning to carry out multiple terrorist attacks in Egypt. Abdel Badee is also said to be the key element in this Sudanese Terrorist Cell.

On Wednesday, Sudanese authorities announced that all the suspects have been arrested, except one Sudanese element, who is still persecuted by the security forces.

A statement published on the official page of the Sudanese Intelligence Service said the terrorist group is affiliated with Daesh, also known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria), and had reportedly been setting up a local cell made up of 15 foreigners of different nationalities.

Moreover, the officials added that the group had rented a furnished apartment in a building in the suburb of Jabra, southern Khartoum.

The statement stated that the group exchanged fire with the security team that conducted the raid, killing 5 Sudanese police officers, and injured others.
