The Egyptian national team, led by coach Hossam Hassan, will face Senegal in a highly anticipated match at 7:00 PM today, Wednesday, in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations currently being held in Morocco.
Both teams have excelled in this edition of the tournament, remaining undefeated on their way to the semi-finals. Egypt, under Hassan's guidance, topped Group B with 7 points, securing victories against Zimbabwe (2-1) and South Africa (1-0), and a draw against Angola (0-0). They then overcame Benin (3-1) and Ivory Coast (3-2) in the round of 16 and quarter-finals, respectively.
Meanwhile, coach Pape Thiaw's Senegal also earned 7 points in Group D, with wins against Botswana and Benin (3-0 and 1-1), and a draw against DR Congo (1-1). They then defeated Sudan (3-1) in the round of 16 and Mali (1-0) in the quarter-finals.
