The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company and the Lebanese Ministry of Energy have reached a strategic agreement to enhance cooperation in the energy sector.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum on Wednesday, the cooperation aims to provide Egyptian natural gas to Lebanon, which will help solve the energy problem in the Arab Asian country.
The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum confirmed that this cooperation is more strategic than commercial, and aims to support Lebanon’s stability and achieve common interests.
Lebanon faced a major electricity crisis last August, which led to power outages across all Lebanese territories after fuel ran out.
