President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived at the International Exhibition Center in New Cairo, to take part in the activities of the 4th edition of Egypt’s International Petroleum show “EGYPS 2020”.
The 3-day event is being held under the slogan of “North Africa and the Mediterranean: Delivering the Energy Needs of Tomorrow”.
The opening session is attended by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Oil Minister Tarek al-Mulla, as well as a galaxy of senior state officials.
Upon his arrival, President Sisi was keen to take a memorial photo with the forum’s participants.
Moreover, he inspected the pavilions of the countries participating in the exhibition.
The ceremony began with the display of a documentary film on the remarkable boom witnessed by the Egyptian oil sector.

“EGYPS 2020” Exhibition
This exhibition is considered the most prominent platform in the energy field in North Africa and the Mediterranean region.
This year's edition attracts more than 270 speakers from industry experts locally and internationally.
At least 15 international oil companies and more than 450 exhibitors will take part in the event.
The US and France, the UK, Germany, China, Canada, Norway, India, the UAE, Spain, Italy, Greece, Scotland, Bahrain, and Cyprus will have pavilions at the exhibition.
It also includes a variety of activities, including 36 technical sessions, 10 strategic sessions, 4 seminars.
The participants will discuss funding and investment issues in the petroleum industry, as well as health, safety, environmental protection and the role of women in the energy sector.
The exhibition will allow attendees and exhibitors to showcase new projects, technologies, key products and services to help deliver growth within the Egyptian and North African hydrocarbon sector, according to its official website.
