The Egyptian Pro Club League, the moderator of the Egyptian Premier League (EPL), rejected the voices calling for suspending domestic competitions for 15 days during the participation of the Egyptian U-23 national team in the Paris Games, Egyptian media reports said on Tuesday.
The Egyptian officials highlighted that no adjustments will be added to the latest announced dates.
Earlier, it was reported that the Egyptian Football Association asked the club league to suspend the EPL for 15 days to make the clubs send their players to the Olympic team.
However, officials of the Egyptian Football Association denied the latest reports, asserting that they know that there is no delay in any EPL games, in addition, they denied receiving any rejection from the clubs regarding the participation of the players with the Olympic team.
