The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has begun taking steps to bring the national youth team’s mission back from Tunisia.

The EFA issued a statement through its official Facebook page saying that the "Association has addressed the Ministry of Youth and Sports Saturday to provide a medically equipped private jet to bring the Egyptian mission to homeland,"

The statement explained that "the medical jet ordered is for the welfare of the mission's members and to complete the treatment of those infected with Covid-19 in their homeland to ensure better medical care,"

The Egyptian Football Association also expressed its full readiness to cover all the expenses of the return flight.

Meanwhile, the tripartite committee in charge of managing the Egyptian Football Association headed by Ahmed Megahed decided to form a fact-finding committee to clarify the reasons and circumstances that led to the failure of the national youth team to participate in the tournament, provided that the committee is formed as follows:

Hussein Helmy, the Association's legal advisor for the legal side, Mohamed Soltan, head of the Association's medical committee for the medical side, Alaa Abdel Aziz for the technical side, and Mostafa Azzam as rapporteur for the committee, adding that the committee may seek assistance from whomever it deems fit to accomplish its mission.
