The Competitions Committee of Egyptian Football Association (EFA) decided on Monday to suspend Al Ahly's goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy for four games due to his inappropriate behaviour against the referee of the National Bank of Egypt's encounter.
It also decided to fine Egypt's first choice goalkeeper EGP 20,000.
It is worth mentioning that the Red Devils were held to a goalless draw against NBE in yesterday's Egyptian Premier League encounter.
This means that El Shenawy will miss Al Ahly's encounters against Al Mokawlon on Thursday and Pyramids on Tuesday, January 26, before heading to the Fifa Club World Cup.
