The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Sunday the Egyptian Super Cup awards for Zamalek and Al Ahly.
Zamalek managed to lift their fourth Super Cup title after defeating Al Ahly on penalties 4-3. The White knights will be awarded AED 500,000, while the Red Devils will earn AED 300,000.
It is worth mentioning that the fight broke out during after game between both clubs' players.
The fight sparkled when Al Ahly’s new signing Mahmoud Kahraba reacted angrily to Shikabala and Abdallah Gomaa’s celebrations.
On its part, the disciplinary committee of the EFA issued harsh penalties on a number of Al-Ahly and Zamalek players.
EFA decided that Al Ahly’s Mahmoud Kahraba and Zamalek’s Emam Ashour will be banned till the end of the season; meanwhile, Zamalek’s Shikabala has been banned for 8 games.
Al-Ahly’s Yasser Ibrahim and Junior Ajay have also been banned for two games and will pay a fine of EGP 50,0000 each. The EFA also ordered Al-Ahly and Zamalek clubs to pay a fine of EGP 10,000 each.
