Former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has announced his retirement from football at the age of 32 years old, the star announced on Tuesday.

The winger made 245 Premier League appearances since his move to Stamford Bridge in 2012, scoring 85 goals and providing 54 assists.

Hazard won two league titles with Chelsea and was named as one of the finest players in the competition. 

The Belgian also helped the Blues to win two UEFA Europa League, an FA Cup triumph and an EFL Cup . 

He moved to Real Madrid in 2019 where He captured eight trophies with Madrid, including the Champions League and two Spanish League titles

Hazard posted on social media: "You must listen to yourself and say stop at the right time," explaining: "After 16 years and more than 700 matches played, I have decided to end my career as a professional footballer.

“I was able to realise my dream, I have played and had fun on many pitches around the world. During my career I was lucky to meet great managers, coaches and team-mates - thank you to everyone for these great times, I will miss you all.”
