Economic Expert: Ukraine Crisis May Be Start of WWIII

The US economist and billionaire George Soros warned that the current crisis in Ukraine may have been the start of a third World War (WWIII).

In his speech ‘DAVOS’ World Economic Forum, Soros criticized the Russian invasion of Ukraine, warning that European Union countries that Russian President Vladimir Putin could cut off natural gas supplies, which currently represent about 40% of Europe’s needs, at any time, in response to the sanctions imposed on his country.

It is worth mentioing that, The European Union (EU) has not yet reached an agreement on the Russian oil embargo.

Oil prices jumped in global markets by about 4% after the EU Commission revealed its intention to impose new sanctions on Russia, including a Russian oil embargo.
