On Thursday, Argentinian star Paulo Dybala announced that he would stay at AS Roma, after rejecting a huge offer from Al Qadsiah to move to the Saudi Pro League.
Several media reports said that Dybala declined an offer of €75 million ($83M) over three years from the Saudi Pro League.
Dybala said on his Instagram account: "Thank you Rome...See you on Sunday," as a confirmation for his stay at the Italian club after long weeks of speculations about his future.
Last week, he trained was seen training individually, without being involved in any training sessions with the rest of the team's members on Thursday and was absent from the starting lineup in their opening Serie A match against Cagliari last Sunday.
Dybala is about to begin his last year of his contract with Roma but the deal could be automatically extened if he plays at least 15 official matches this season.
He will earn €7.5 million plus €2 million in add-ons and bonuses.
Since joining Roma in 2022, Dybala introduced an impressive run with the team as he made 78 appearances, scored 34 goals and made 18 assists.
