Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave an update on his Jumanji co-star Kevin Hart.

The Rock revealed that Kevin was “doing very well" after suffering major back injuries in a car crash earlier this month.

The actor is unable to do any appearances as he recovers, including his scheduled appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Dwayne left his honeymoon early to step in for Kevin on the show, after hearing about his crash.

"Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son," Johnson told Clarkson. "I connected with him today."

"And you know what? These things happen in life and thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his car seat," the rock joked as the audience laughed. "That's real love."

Johnson revealed that Hart is "doing very well" and is "bummed" he couldn't be there with Clarkson.

The Rock, 47, confirmed that he would soon pay Hart a hospital visit.

The pair is close friends - having starred together in films including Jumanji and Central Intelligence.

The comedian underwent surgery for “major back injuries” suffered during the accident.

He is expected to make a full recovery, but he will need months of rehabilitation before he is in top shape.

The 40-year-old will have a heavy physical therapy workload in the coming weeks, along with a steady schedule of follow-up doctor’s appointments.

The comedian has been hospitalized after he was badly injured in the accident.

He was a passenger in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda — which he bought to himself back in July as a 40th birthday gift — when the driver, friend Jared Black, lost control and veered off the road in the hills above Malibu.

The actor and two others were involved in the accident.

Two of the three occupants were trapped in the vehicle. Hart left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention.

Patrol officers determined that Black was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.

The third occupant did not suffer any substantial injuries.
