Buckingham Palace confirmed that Duke of Edinburgh's health is improving on Tuesday, however, Prince Philip's stay at the hospital was set to be continued to the last of the week. Therefore, the plans of the duke's death were revealed hours ago, Daily Express posted on Wednesday.

"Operation Forth Bridge" is the name of the duke's death operation, and this message will be carried to the Buckingham palace first. However, the BBC will be the earliest press agency to receive the news.

Next,  Lord Chamberlain will tell the prime minister, before sending any wishes to the queen.

According to the formal protocols of death, BBC presenters should wear black on the TV as a sign of respect to th duke as he is ranked as “category 1.”

Radio stations will light flash blue "obit lights" in the event of a national emergency as one of “category 1” royals death.

Chris Price, BBC Radio producer, said to the Huffington Post in 2011: “If you ever hear Haunted Dancehall (Nursery Remix) by Sabres of Paradise on daytime Radio 1, turn the TV on. Something terrible has just happened.”

Once Prince Philip's death is confirmed, the country will pass into a period of national mourning which will last until his funeral, according to The Greater London Lieutenancy.

Therefore, flags will be lowered to half-mast, and members of parliament must wear black armbands on their left arm or black ties.

Members of the Royal Family, royal households, and representatives of the royal family will also be required to wear dark colours and mourning bands throughout this period.

Prince Philip would receive a full state funeral, and he would be “lying in state” at Westminster Abbey before being buried in St George’s Chapel.

However, Prince Philip is against the noise of large scale funerals, and he prefers to receive a private service at St George’s Chapel, in the form of a military funeral, followed by burying him at Frogmore Gardens.

The duke has been involved in his death plans due to experiencing several health problems in the few past years, royal sources reported.
