In October 2020, Drake announced that the project would be out in January 2021. The rapper announced later that month via Instagram stories that the album has been delayed due to a recent surgery.

The new album will mark his sixth full-length studio album and will be the follow-up to 2018’s “Scorpion”.

Last week, he teased the release date of the album with a cryptic ESPN promo.
