Dr. Hussein Bassir, the Antiquities Museum director of Alexandria Library, said that Muslim scholars and historians believe that Idris was among the prophets who entered Egypt and ruled it.
Idris was the first to plan cities, set rules for agriculture, teach people astronomy and engineering, as well as some claim that one of the Egypt pyramids is his grave.
Dr. Bassir explained that this is not proven to us from an archaeological point of view.
Regarding the referring of building the pyramids to Prophet Idris, Dr. Basir explained that Ibn Tigray Bardi noted this point in his book "The Bright Stars in the Egypt and Cairo Kings".
Also, in “Al Al-Maqrizi plans'' book, Idris was the Egypt king and the first to build worship houses in it, as well as he was the first to teach people medicine. This is not true archaeologically for many reasons known to all Egyptologists in Egypt and the world.
Archaeological truth indicates that the famous idol, Osiris is considered the most important and famous ancient Egyptian deities compound head and his worship appeared in the 5th Dynasty era; his name was mentioned in the “Metoon of the Pyramids” for Wais” King the last king of the family.
Meanwhile, the ancient Egyptian considered him as god with the ability to create, innovate and was represented as the Lord of other World and Dead then Eternal.
Despite their belief that all deities are subject to the dead except for Osiris. Osiris was a victim of treachery and betrayal by his evil brother "Set", who killed and distributed parts his body across Egyptian soil.
His faithful sister and wife Isis, succeeded in gathering parts of his body and bringing him back to life, according to the Osirian legend.
Bassir added that if we try to locate the Osiris worship place, it is difficult for us to do so, but he was associated with Heliopolis (now Ain Shams) and was mentioned in “Matun Al-Ahram” with Isis and West and Nephthys as one of the sons of the Lord “Geb” (the earth Lord ).
In the end, Dr. Bassir confirmed that Osiris is not Prophet Idris.
