Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has bid farewell to the club’s supporters in an emotional message posted on Instagram, confirming his departure from the French champions.

“My dear Paris fans, from the first day I arrived I gave everything — on and off the pitch — to earn my place and protect PSG’s goal,” Donnarumma wrote. “Sadly, someone decided I could no longer be part of the group and contribute to the team’s success. I feel deeply disappointed and frustrated.”

The Italian added: “I hope I’ll get the chance to look into the fans’ eyes at the Parc des Princes and say goodbye properly. If not, please know that your love and support meant the world to me and I will never forget it. I will carry with me all the emotions, memories, and magical nights — you made me feel at home.”

Turning to his teammates, Donnarumma said: “To my teammates — my second family — thank you for every battle, every laugh, every moment we shared. You will always be my brothers. Playing for this club and living in this city has been an honour. Thank you, Paris.”

The 25-year-old was notably left out of PSG’s squad for the UEFA Super Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur, not even making the bench — a clear sign the club is moving to part ways.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have entered talks with PSG over a potential deal for Donnarumma. However, the French club is reportedly demanding €50 million — a high figure considering the goalkeeper’s contract expires in less than a year, making him free to leave next summer.
