The account of Donald Trump Jr., son of former US President Donald Trump, on the “X” platform was hacked, and tweets were published announcing the death of his father and also his intention to run for the presidential elections.
In a series of posts on the X platform that have now been deleted, the account claimed that his father had died, as the post stated: “I regret to announce the death of my father, Donald Trump. I will run for president in 2024.”
“North Korea will be defeated,” another post said, while one post reported some controversial messages with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The posts remained on the page, which has 10 million followers, for less than an hour before they were deleted.
Trump's office said the account had been hacked.
