"Dominique Attias: Ending the Era of Executions and Wars Requires Immediate International Recognition of the Provisional Government and the Iranian People’s Right to Overthrow the Velayat-e Faqih Regime"

Ms. Dominique Attias, Chair of the Board of Directors of the European Lawyers Foundation and former President of the European Bars Federation (FBE), stated that the crumbling Velayat-e Faqih regime's recourse to escalating brutal execution campaigns—amidst the external war currently shattering its foundations—is a desperate attempt to mask its existential panic over its inevitable and imminent collapse before the will of the people and their organized resistance.

Attias said: I condemn in the strongest terms the execution of six heroic freedom fighters from the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and four youths from the uprising, as revealed by the Italian television (TG1) report. This regime, which has lost its head with the death of the executioner Khamenei, is vainly attempting to use the gallows as a final tool to prevent the explosion of popular wrath led by the Resistance Units in the heart of Iranian cities."

She added: "The rule of the Mullahs is not only a threat to the Iranian people but also the primary financier of global terrorism and a major disruptor of the international economy. The time has come for the international community to move beyond verbal condemnation and take action to provide practical and tangible support to the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance to rid the world of this political plague."

Attias continued: "The Resistance Units have proven, through their organized strategic operations, that they are the alternative force capable of deciding the battle within the country. These heroes, who face the machinery of repression with unparalleled courage, are the sole guarantee for achieving democratic change and establishing the rule of law."

She explained: "Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s announcement regarding the formation of the Provisional Government, based on the 10-point plan, represents the only legal and political framework to ensure the transition of sovereignty to the Iranian people. This project is the guarantor for ending the eras of both religious and monarchical dictatorship, and for establishing a democratic republic that respects human rights and coexists peacefully with the world."

She emphasized: "The regime’s continued cold-blooded killings, coinciding with the collapse of its military machine due to the external war, places world leaders before a historical responsibility. The right of the Iranian people to resist and overthrow the Velayat-e Faqih regime must be recognized immediately, and all forms of international procrastination—which the Mullahs exploit to prolong their survival—must cease."

Attias concluded: "The ropes of the gallows will not protect a regime that has reached its historical end. The blood of the righteous martyrs will blossom into freedom. As international jurists, we will continue to apply pressure until the killers of the Iranian people are brought to international justice, and the Provisional Government is recognized as the sole legitimate alternative representing the aspirations of Iranians for a free and democratic tomorrow."
