Yesterday, the 22nd edition of Qatar's WTA 1000 kicked off, and the Two-time defending champion Iga Swiatek is expected to participate in the competition to retain the title for the third time.
The tournament is the first WTA 1000 tournament in 2024. It will be hosted at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha, Qatar.
It features a 56-player singles draw and a 28-team doubles draw.
The singles and doubles finals are scheduled for February 17.
Eighteen of the Top 20 are taking part in the tournament including the world's No.1 seed Swiatek.
2023 US Open Champion Coco Gauff, 2023 Wimbledon runner-up Ons Jabeur, Elena Rybakina, 2023 Wimbledon winner Marketa Vondrousova, and Maria Sakkari.
