Novak Djokovic restored World No.1 rank on the ATP rankings after winning the 2023 Roland Garros, yesterday.
Djokovic will start his record-extending 388th week in the top spot, today, as he will take over Carlos Alcaraz.
Djokovic jumped from the No.3 to the No.1 position by defeating Alcaraz in the French Open competition's semi-finals.
It will be Djokovic’s second time in 2023 to the No.1 position by winning a major. He won both the Australian Open and Roland Garros.
In February, Djokovic broke Stefanie Graf’s record for most weeks at World No. 1 by a men’s or women’s tennis player. He also defeated the streak of Roger Federer for most weeks spent in the No.1 position.
