Former member of Muslim Brotherhood Emad Abu Hashim revealed that Hamza Zobaa is used to deceive the group’s members claiming that they will rule Egypt again.

In an exclusive interview with Egyptian anchor Ahmed Moussa on Sada El-Balad TV satellite channel on Tuesday, Counselor Abu Hashim said “I asked Zobaa once: will Mohamed Morsi can be reinstalled as Egypt’s president again? and his answer was “no”. But he is deceiving his audience as he kept alleging that Morsi will be a president again.”

“Zobaa, who is a Brotherhood anchor, enjoys close ties with Azzam Al Tamimi,” he said.

Tamimi is a long time member of the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) and recently switched allegiance to the British Muslim Initiative (BMI), both organizations being part of the Muslim Brotherhood in the U.K.

Also, he is the director of the Institute of Islamic Political Thought (IPT), whose Advisory board has included global Muslim Brotherhood leader Youssef Qaradawi as well as long-time Brotherhood supporter Professor John Esposito of Georgetown University.

During the interview on Sada El Balad TV, Abu Hashim disclosed his fleeing journey to Turkey and his return after disconnecting from the banned group.

Moreover, he briefed about connections between Brotherhood associates and Iranian and Qatari intelligence apparatuses.

“Brotherhood leaders deceived me and said the Egyptian authorities will oppress me so I had had to flee the country,” Abu Hashim added.

“I had never imagined that I would return back to Egypt.”

He noted that he had never imagined being talking to Moussa, who is widely hated by Brotherhood associates.

On his part, Moussa replied “All members of the banned group hate me.”

Muslim Brotherhood Banned Since 2013

The Egyptian authorities have designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group in December 2013, a few months after the ousting of Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated former President Mohamed Morsi and the dispersal of pro-Morsi sit-ins.

Saudi Arabia has formally designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization in 2014.
