Did Ancient Egyptians Believe in Monotheism, Creation, Holy Books ?

Ahmed Budran, professor of antiques at the Cairo University revealed ancient Egyptians were religious my nature, and always sought to discover the origins of creations and established a basis on their beliefs.

Budran affirmed that ancient Egyptians did not understand monotheism, or the belief in one god on a singular basis, but some studies revealed that a lot of these beliefs centered around one god which was described in the “Attoney” Anthem in King Akhenaton’s age.

The Anthem included the name "wa wo", which means only one and "nen" so which means he has no equal.

Budran also revealed that the king did not hide his belief in the aforementioned god, stating that when he enforced the antonian religion, other worshiping basis as other citizens chose to worship "horus", "ozeris" and "amon".

Budran emphasized that the ancient Egyptian wrote a number of sacred books, including the Book of the Dead, called "Bert im Hero", which means "going out during the day". In it, the resurrection, and was preceded by the texts of the pyramids in the era of the old state.

Among the books in the era of the modern state is the Book of the Dead, which is a group of spells that keep the deceased in the other world until he faces difficulties reaching the paradise that was called "Sakht Hatto" and also called "Sikht Iyaro".

Budran said “We have the Book of Gates, which is a group of gates that the deceased traverses on his journey to the other world, and he must know the name of the door and the name of the guard, and a decree in the Valley of the Kings shaped the door with a snake guard on it,”

Apart from the above, there are other books: the book of the two paths as it deals with the path of the deceased on his ground trip to the Algerian headquarters, in addition to a book about the destruction of mankind or the heavenly cow, the book of caves, the book of night and day and many others.
