Designer Introduces Natural Leather Bags Using Hand Drawing

When art is mixed with quality in manufacturing, the final product is a distinctive piece of art that many seek to acquire; this is what Martha Tharwat, who designs bags, is keen to achieve.

Tharwat uses technical drawings, natural leather and high quality as a tool of a Brand named Unicorn “Unicorn Leather Craft”.

Certainly, the artistic talent employed by Tharwat in the leather industry field pushed her to attend educational workshops in leather industries, and take a course in a place called Roba El Salam in Nasr City a year ago.

She graduated from Faculty of Social Work and worked in major companies for five years, but then decided to work in the field she likes “Leather Crafts”.

She chose to draw in delightful colors on natural leather after she noticed that most of the Leather Crafts in the market are brown or black and without any paintings.

*Customize bags

Many want to carry bags that have a special mark, whether a phrase or a drawing, which is provided by the designer (customize).

The designer says: "I draw the first design on the computer according to the taste of each client."

*According to the fashion

Tharwat designs bags according to youth fashion. She designs fanny bags, backpacks and small ones (20 cm by 20 cm) in order to be moderately priced. She also designs larger sizes according to requests.

* Manufacturing steps

The designer uses white leather; she does all the different steps to reach the final shape; she designs the bag itself with its size, shape and the drawing that will depend on. She also chooses the colors of the drawing and the bag itself.

* Trend for bags as well

Circle bags and unicorn are the trend of this summer season. The most requested drawings are the elephant and the fanny bags with yellow flowers drawings.
