A crisis broke out before tonight's derby of century between Al Ahly and Zamalek, as the Moroccan Radwan Gayed, who is responsible for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) tested positive for coronavirus on Friday.
The Red Devils are set to face off the White Knights in the CAF Champions League final at 21:00 CLT.
The Confederation of the African Football (CAF) had appointed on Thursday Algerian referee Mostafa Gherbal as a main referee and Moroccan Radwan Gayed as an official responsible for the VAR.
After Gayed's coronavirus infection, CAF decided to replace him with the Zambian Jani Sikazwi, and appointed the Egyptian referee Ibrahim Nour El-Din as a fourth referee to stir controversy, ahead of the game.
