American singer-actress Demi Lovato and her fiancée, actor Max Ehrich, have ended their engagement after two months.

“It was a tough decision, but Demi and Max have decided to go their separate ways to focus on their respective careers. They have respect and love for one another and will always cherish the time they spent together,” a source told people.

Lovato and Ehrich have yet to publicly address reports of their split.

The couple started dating in March 2020, and have grown incredibly close as they isolated together.

“We started dating. We immediately went into quarantine. I knew I loved him the night I met him. So a week later we went into quarantine. I was like, ‘Look, we’re quarantining together. Um, cause I love you.’” said Lovato on The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM Hits 1.

The couple celebrated their six-month anniversary earlier this month on September 7. Lovato and Ehrich made their relationship public on May 7 by making a surprise appearance in Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande's "Stuck With U" music video.

Ehrich proposed to Lovato on July 22 on the beach in Malibu.

Lovato shared the news on Instagram along with a series of photos of her and Ehrich embracing on a beach. The photos also featured the singer wearing a large engagement ring on her finger.

Earlier this month, alleged old tweets of Ehrich’s began circling on social media professing his love for Selena Gomez, as well as Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus, and disparaging Lovato.

On September 14, Lovato addressed these rumors an Instagram post, saying “It’s really sad when people FAKE images to put women against each other. If women have conflict that’s between them NOT YOU,”.
