Negotiations between Ousmane Dembélé and Paris Saint-Germain over a new contract have stalled, according to French media reports, amid growing disagreement over financial terms.
Reports from RMC Sport reveal that PSG have offered the French international a new deal worth around €30 million per year, despite his current contract running until the summer of 2028.
However, Dembélé’s representatives are reportedly demanding a salary close to double that figure, leaving the two parties far apart and making an agreement unlikely in the short term.
The dispute follows an outstanding season for the 28-year-old winger during the 2024–2025 campaign.
Dembélé enjoyed the most successful year of his career, winning the Ballon d’Or as well as awards for Best Player and UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.
His individual brilliance coincided with a historic achievement for Paris Saint-Germain, who secured their first-ever Champions League title.
Despite Dembélé’s remarkable contributions, PSG remain committed to a cautious financial strategy aimed at maintaining balance within the club’s wage structure.
