France completed a flawless group-stage campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Norway, securing top spot in Group I with a maximum nine points.

Ousmane Dembélé stole the show with a first-half hat-trick, scoring in the seventh, 20th, and 32nd minutes, while Désiré Doué added a stoppage-time fourth to cap another dominant display by Les Bleus.

Norway briefly threatened a comeback after Théo Aasgaard pulled one back in the 21st minute, but their hopes faded when Jørgen Strand Larsen failed to convert a penalty early in the second half, with France goalkeeper Mike Maignan producing a crucial save.

Despite the defeat, Norway advanced to the Round of 32 as Group I runners-up with six points, while France entered the knockout stage in commanding form after winning all three group matches and reinforcing their status as one of the tournament favorites.
