The Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Sunday that the number of journalists killed in Gaza since the onset of the war has risen to 173.
The latest casualty is journalist Abdullah Shakshek, who worked with several Arab media outlets.
The office condemned the targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists, holding Israel responsible for these acts.
The statement called the killings a "heinous crime" and urged international bodies and media-related organizations to take action against Israel in international courts.
They also demanded pressure on Israel to cease its ongoing "genocide" and stop the deliberate killing of Palestinian journalists.
This announcement follows a statement by the Ministry of Health in Gaza earlier in the day, reporting that the death toll from the continued Israeli bombardment has climbed to 41,206, with 95,337 injured since the conflict began on October 7.
The ministry added that Israel had committed three massacres against families in Gaza over the last 24 hours, resulting in 24 deaths and 57 injuries brought to local hospitals.
