The Indian authorities announced on Saturday that the death toll from massive floods in the state of Assam had risen to 37 and 1 person is still missing.
Nearly 400,000 people were affected by the floods sweeping the state, while 19 areas are still suffering from the devastating effects of the floods, NDTV reported.
15,000 displaced people live in more than 100 relief camps across the state as a result of the floods that destroyed homes, roads, bridges and infrastructure in different areas.
