The death toll from a bus crash into a deep valley in Bangladesh, 80 kilometers from the capital, Dhaka, has risen to 19, with several others injured.
The Singaporean Channel News Asia reported today, Sunday, that the bus was carrying about 40 passengers when it fell off a bridge to a depth of nine meters, adding that a number of the injured ones are in serious condition.
It is noteworthy that traffic accidents are very common in Bangladesh and cause thousands of deaths annually, and accidents are usually blamed on poor safety measures .
