Al Qahera News Channel revealed, on Sunday, that an understanding was reached to hand over the hostage Arbel Yehud to Israel; as part of the ongoing efforts led by mediators to implement a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The news channel explained that an understanding was reached between Hamas and Israel through mediators, stipulating that Hamas will hand over the hostage and two detainees in the Gaza Strip before next Friday, and Hamas will also hand over 3 additional hostages next Saturday according to the agreement, in addition to providing information on the number of hostages who will be released as part of the first phase of the agreement.

It added: Starting tomorrow morning, Monday, the Israeli authorities will allow the return of displaced citizens in the Gaza Strip from the south to the northern areas of the Strip, and will hand over a list of the names of 400 people who have been arrested since October 7, 2023 every Sunday, as part of the first phase of the agreement.

On the other hand, Hamas appreciated the genuine role of Egypt and Jordan, which rejects the displacement of the Palestinian people, or encouraging their transfer or uprooting from their land under any pretext or justification.

The movement stressed - in a press statement - the Palestinian people's adherence to their land and rejection of displacement and deportation, calling on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to declare their absolute rejection of all forms of displacement and support the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
