As the war between Russia and Ukraine intensifies, deadly drone strikes continue to claim lives on both sides of the conflict. On Thursday night, four people were killed and at least 35 others injured in drone attacks launched by Russian forces on Ukraine’s northeastern Kharkiv region, according to local authorities.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Services reported that the bodies of three victims were recovered from the rubble of residential and commercial buildings in a Kharkiv neighborhood. A fourth body was later pulled from the debris.

The drone strikes, reportedly carried out by Russia, also ignited fires in the area. Among the 35 injured was a child, and further casualties were reported across Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv regions, with at least five more people wounded. Ukrainian local authorities have blamed Moscow for these latest assaults.

On the Russian side, a Ukrainian drone strike killed one person in the border village of Belaya Beryozka in the Bryansk region. Regional Governor Alexander Bogomaz accused Kyiv of launching "targeted attacks on civilians."

The escalating use of drones in cross-border strikes signals a dangerous shift in the ongoing conflict, as both nations continue to target civilian areas, raising concerns over international humanitarian law violations.
