Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has officially secured the Premier League Golden Glove for the 2025–2026 season after reaching 17 clean sheets in the campaign, a tally that can no longer be surpassed.

Raya’s achievement was confirmed after his closest rival, Gianluigi Donnarumma, conceded in Manchester City’s match against Everton, ending any realistic chance of catching the Arsenal shot-stopper.

The Spanish goalkeeper reached his decisive milestone with another clean sheet against Fulham, moving to 17 shutouts, while Donnarumma remains on 13 with only a limited number of matches left.

Even in theory, Donnarumma can now only match Raya’s record, not exceed it, leaving the Arsenal keeper in control of the race. Raya needs just one more clean sheet in his remaining fixtures to secure the award outright if mathematical conditions tighten further.

This season marks a significant step forward for Raya, who has improved on his previous campaign by four additional clean sheets. He had shared the Golden Glove last season with Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels.

With this latest recognition, Raya becomes part of an elite group of goalkeepers who have won the award in consecutive seasons, joining names such as Pepe Reina, Joe Hart, and Ederson.
