David Moyes Returns to Head Coach Everton after 12 Years

On Saturday, Everton appointed David Moyes was appointed as the football team's coach. 

Moyes returns to Goodison Park after having a deal with the English Premier League side until 2027. 

The appointment came after the club sacked their former coach Sean Dyche on Thursday.

The former manager was set to coach Everton’s FA Cup game against Peterborough on Thursday, however, the club released him a few hours before the game. 

After his appointment, Moyes said: “It’s great to be back! I enjoyed 11 wonderful and successful years at Everton and didn’t hesitate when I was offered the opportunity to rejoin this great club. I’m excited to be working with The Friedkin Group and I am looking forward to helping them rebuild the club.”

In addition, this decision came less than a month after the arrival of Everton's new owners Friedkin Group (TFG).

Everton brought nine different managers since Moyes left the club in 2013 for Manchester United.
