Culture Min. Congratulates Opera House's Head on 32nd Anniv.

On the first night of the 32nd anniversary of the Opera House, Dr Enas Abdel-Dayem, Minister of Culture, congratulated Dr Magdy Saber, head of the Opera House and its artists and workers, urging them to exert more efforts to preserve the gains achieved during the past years.

Abdel Dayem said that the Egyptian opera House is one of the strong pillars of culture and it contributes, with its various activities, to develop awareness, build mankind, and promote artistic sense.

The minister added that the opera -since its inauguration in 1988- has succeeded in engraving the history of arts and culture regionally and globally, and it was a prominent reflection of civilizational leadership in all fields.

She referred to its important role in preserving the forms of heritage and creativity. It also presents different valuable local arts, transmitting our Egyptian culture to all over the world.

On his part, Dr Saber said that the Opera House continues to play its role as a window to present valuable arts and culture, encouraging and supporting talented youth by giving them the opportunity to communicate with the senior artists through various events and activities that it presents on its various theaters.

It is worthy of note that the Opera House has celebrated its 32nd anniversary on the Grand Theater.

It presented a distinguished classic evening, animated by “ Cairo Symphony Orchestra”, led by Maestro Ahmed El Saidi, with the participation of the stars of “ Cairo Opera Ensemble” including Iman Mustafa, Reda Elwakil, Amr Medhat, Julie Fayzi, in addition to a musical concert for "Acapella choral" led by Maya Givineria.

The evening included presenting “The ninth symphony" of the famous German artist Ludwig van Beethoven, which is considered to be one of the greatest compositions in the history of the musical world.

The critics named this symphony “The choral symphony” performed brilliantly to express the unique performance of the opera Orchestra and its system at all levels.
