Culture Ministry Implements Activities of “Egypt’s People" Prog.

Dr Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, said that the Ministry of Culture - represented by the General Organization of Cultural Palaces headed by Dr Ahmed Awad- continues to implement “Egypt’s People “Program.

The program aims at achieving cultural justice and work to integrate the people of the border regions and faraway governorates with the people of Cairo and the Delta region.

Abdel Dayem added that the various activities include organizing many field visits to the archaeological sites, museums and national projects - the last one was a visit to the fifth exhibition of the series of “Our museums' treasures” - titled “Selections of European Art”.

Furthermore, the minister confirmed the instance of the ministry to support the values of belonging to the homeland in the hearts of the people of Egypt, building their personality.

On his part, Dr Awad, the head of the General Organization of Culture Palaces, said that “ The People of Egypt “ program has already implemented three forums for cultural integration of children, youth and women; it included cultural integration for children from 12 to 15 years old for 9 weeks, achieving 80 visits to archaeological sites.

In addition it organized 312 artistic workshops and presenting 20 artistic performances – with 739 beneficiaries.

Dr. Awad added that concerning youth forums, many of them were implemented in the governorates of- Asmarat, Aswan, Matrouh, South and North- with the participation of the youth of the governorates of- Sinai, Matrouh, the Red Sea, Halayeb, Shalateen, Abu Ramad, Aswan, Nuba and Wadi, with 180 young men and women beneficiaries.

He explained that many women's forums were held in cooperation with the National Council for Women to train and develop the skills of the people of the border regions on crafts, handicrafts and heritage industries.

6 forums were implemented in the Red Sea governorates, Marsa Matrouh, Aswan, Assiut and the New Valley with a total of 29 activities- with 312 beneficiaries
