On Sunday, the Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Alexandria Governor Ahmed Khaled, and the Director of Alexandria Bibliotheca inaugurated the 19th BA International Book Fair. The fair is organized by BA, in cooperation with the General Egyptian Book Organization, and Arab Publishers Association.
The activities of the event will take place between July 15, and 28.
During the opening ceremony, Hanno asserted that the BA is a hub of knowledge and culture, culture crossover, and civilization dialogue. He added that the fair attracted the attention of readers and publishers to Alexandria which is proved by the increasing number of visitors and participants.
The Minister of Culture also revealed that this event becomes a key cultural event in Egypt and reflects the continued contribution of Egypt in all fields of science, knowledge, and culture.
He also asserted the keenness of the ministry to participate in such a prestigious event with its all different organizations and institutions.
