Culture Min. Gathers 3 Batches of ‘Start Your Dream Workshop’

Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, delivered graduation certificates to 50 talents of the second batch of “ Start your dream workshop” for training young talents in various fields of theatric arts.

The workshop is organized by the cultural production sector headed by the artist Khaled Galal- represented by the Artistic House of theater headed by the artist Ismail Mukhtar.

Abdel Dayem "Ghost House" play – acted by 30 representatives of the first batch.

Abdel Dayem also launched the third batch workshop with the participation of 60 trainees, to start at 6 pm Wednesday, 30October.

Mukhtar said that “Start of your dream workshop” is one of the most important projects for discovering talents in the Arab world.

“It aims to enrich the field of theater with new blood that will restore the entity of arts,” Mukhtar added pointing to the continuity of the project to open the door for the talents to realize the dreams of young people and to participate in the implementation of a rich production plan.

Mukhtar also praised the support of the Ministry of Culture.

On his part, director Adel Hassan confirmed that “Start Your Dream workshop” was launched by “Youth Theater” for the first time, in the second half of 2017.

It included the participation of a number of the most important actors- Ahmed Taha, Alaa Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Mokhtar, Mahmoud Hanafi and Diaa Shafik.

The first batch graduated in October 2018 and included 120 young people, a number of them have been selected to participate in “Ghost House” play, which has achieved a great success during more than 70 nights.

Hassan also explained that the second batch of this workshop started 8 months ago under the supervision of the artist Kamal Attia with the participation of trainers- Dr. Mohammed Hosni, Hazem Kafrawi, Dia Shafik, Maisara Salahuddin.

It is worthy of note that the third batch will be trained by artists- Abeer Lutfi, Mohamed Nabil Munib, Ahmed Magdy and Farouk Jaafar.
