Culture Min. Celebrates 23 July Revolution Anniversary

Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, the Minister of Culture, said that 23 July Revolution embodied the Egyptian struggle in modern national history.

This revolution succeeded in embodying the dreams and aspirations of the Egyptians to achieve independence, freedom and equality.

Abdel Dayem added that this white phase will remain inspiring the coming generations in various fields, explaining that the celebrations, on the occasion of 23 July Revolution, are held in accordance with the precautionary measures and preventive measures that have been adopted for  preserving the safety of the public.

She continued that the cultural sectors organize a group of various activities in a number of open locations and on the channel of the Ministry of Culture on YouTube and website.

- The Egyptian Opera House

The Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Magdy Saber, is organizing an artistic celebration performed by the star Reham Abdel Hakim.

It will witness the participation of a group of Arab music stars of the opera House, accompanied by the musical Ensemble led by the Maestro Dr. Mohamed El Mougy. The concerts will present the famous immortal patriotic works that portrayed the enthusiastic feelings of the masses of the Egyptian people.

- Plastic Arts Sector 

Plastic Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Khaled Sorour, opens eight artistic and national museums in its plan of resumption of its cultural activities.

It will include the Museums of :- Leader Gamal Abdel Nasser, Mustafa Kamel , writer Taha Hussein, Artist Mahmoud Mukhtar , Mohamed Nagy , Engy Aflaton , Hassan Heshmat.

Fine Arts Museum in Alexandria, which holds, for the first time and in cooperation with the governorate, an exhibition of a group of historical documents dealing with a number of facts that accompanied the revolution, in addition to a selection of works by foreign artists who stayed in Alexandria at this time and witnessed the revolution.

- The National Center for Child Culture.

The National Center for Child Culture, headed by Mohamed Abdel Hafez Nassef, broadcasts a number of electronic activities on its YouTube channel, including a number of national lyrical works, for example :- "Misr Tastaheq -Egypt deserves”.

It was written by Khaled Taj El Din, composed by Wael Awad, performed by the choral Al-Salam Park. This in addition to “Al-Aragouz “ Show and “ the festivity of July revolution ” by Nasser Abdel Tawab.

-  General Organization of Culture Palaces.

The General organization of Culture Palaces , headed by Dr. Ahmed Awwad, organizes a big artistic celebration for three days, starting  on Saturday 25 July and continues until 27 July, at the open theater of Al- Asmara Culture Palace.

In addition, it will display online artistic shows broadcast by the various cultural branches through its platforms and pages on social media.

- The General Organization for Books and National Documents:

The General Organization  for Books And National Documents, headed by Dr. Nevin Mohamed Moussa, broadcasts- on its YouTube channel - a recorded evening entitled “Readings the Aspects of July Revolution after 68 years”.

It hosts Dr. Ahmed El-Sherbiny, Dr. Ashraf Moones, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Dayem and Dr. Sayed Flaifel, the evening deals with the economic and social program of July revolution, its accomplishments and its Arabic relations thereafter.

In addition, it will play a recorded artistic evening entitled “The National Song in the movement of July Revolution,” including meetings with Muji Al-Saghir- the  son of the musician Muhammad Al-Muji, the artist Adel Al-Sayyid, the president and the founder of “ Fareed Al-Atrash Lovers”  Association, Dr. Hamida Al-Sayed- The  daughter of the late lyric poet Hussein Al-Sayed.

Furthermore,  a documentary PDF file will be  displayed , including:-  a set of documents and decisions issued by the Revolutionary Command Council:- the demands of the army officers addressed to King Farouk to abdicate, a decree for the establishing of the “ constitution-making “ committee, a constitutional declaration from Major General Staff Mohamed Najib, a decree of assigning al-Bakbashi Jamal Abdel Nasser to form the Ministry.

It will also include a republican decision of “ the Revolution Day”, a Republican decision to allocate a building for the Ministry of Culture to be a museum for the leaders of the revolution and other important documents.

In addition, it will display a collection of PDF books about the history of the revolution including:-  Salah Salem’s notes, July and Sudan revolution, July revolution and the Arab Orient- 1952-1956, Egypt in the twentieth century, a bibliography in Arabic and English that includes all that was written in newspapers and intellectual heritage about  the revolution's diaries and facts.

- The National Center for Translation

The National Center for Translation, headed by Dr. Ola Adel, offers a 50% discount on all the publications in the center’s outlet on Thursday, 23 July.

- The Ministry of Culture channel on YouTube:

The Ministry of Culture channel on YouTube will broadcast on Thursday 23 July at 9 pm a bouquet of the most famous national songs led by the maestro Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam and with the participation of a selection of the opera stars.
